Would you like to learn some basic embroidery techniques while creating a beautiful handmade festive decoration?

In this relaxed workshop, you’ll create a padded fabric star decoration using a variety of simple embroidery stitches. You’ll begin by learning the “trace and tear” method to transfer the star design onto your chosen fabric using tracing paper and running stitch. You can then personalise your decoration by embellishing it with a selection of decorative embroidery stitches. Finally, you’ll be shown how to attach a ribbon, add the stuffing, and stitch your star together, ready to take home or give as a thoughtful handmade gift.

The fabrics, threads and other materials used in this workshop are sourced from our donated supplies, making this a sustainable and eco-friendly activity that gives new life to pre-loved materials.

No experience is necessary—just come ready to relax, get creative, and enjoy spending time with others.

Workshop fee: £35

All materials are provided, along with tea and delicious home-baked cake.

Booking A Workshop  

Workshops are non-refundable and you cannot re-schedule or transfer to another workshop. We would be delighted if you send someone in your place however, all we need is for you to please provide their name, phone number and email address before the workshop either by email or phone a minimum of 14 days before the workshop commencement date. 

Our Right to Cancel a Workshop 

In the unlikely event that a workshop is undersubscribed we reserve the right to cancel the workshop. We will give you as much warning as possible by contacting you on the email address you gave us when you registered. We will happily refund the cost of the workshop or transfer you to an alternative workshop (equal value).
